Postcards with the Kurbatov lighthouse canceled

As part of the campaign to raise funds for satellite Internet for the Kurbatov Lighthouse (Kuril Islands, Shumshu Island, Sea of Okhotsk, Pacific Ocean - 1st Kuril Strait), carried out by the Virtual Museum of Lighthouses of the World project, a limited edition of commemorative postcards of the Kurbatov Lighthouse has been released for free sale.

Postcards were issued in 2 types, 15 pieces each (30 postcards in total) with an image of the lighthouse from two different sides, made in watercolor technique.

A lighthouse stamp was made especially for cancellation and in August 2013 the postcards were stamped at the Kurbatov lighthouse and at the post office of Severo-Kurilsk (more than 30 km from the lighthouse through expanses of water and impassable land).
