Source collections remain with their custodians. The archive records the evidence trail, attribution, uncertainty, decision, and public outcome.
The collaboration is temporary. The traceability remains.
What this is
This is a case-based collaboration mode hosted through LUX143 and demonstrated in the lighthouse domain through LUX Light Archive. Each case begins with a bounded question and a practical outcome rather than an open-ended programme.
What this is not
- A new collection
- A membership network
- A replacement for museums, archives, lighthouse societies, routes, or custodians
- A central repository for partner files
- An authority over participating organisations
- A standards committee

How a case works

- ExamineReview each source separately, recording what it proves, what it does not prove, rights, attribution, and uncertainty.
- ResolveRecord the evidence-backed decision, partial resolution, unresolved state, or withdrawal without overstating authority.
- PublishPublish only the approved public evidence trail, archive outcome, attribution, custody, and remaining uncertainty.
- Observe reuseAfter use, record collaboration friction and any demonstrated practice that may be reusable elsewhere.
