Beautiful views, outlandish interiors and amazing, unlike anything else romance - all this is a distinctive feature of hotels located on lighthouses. The Scottish Corsewall Lighthouse is a direct confirmation of this.
Corsewall Lighthouse
Scotland
Image removed from public review package. Local review only · not public no-info · Corsewall.jpg
The western tip of Scotland is wild and deserted. Corsewall Lighthouse, built in 1815, is a national treasure. Its rays still show the way to ships entering the strait leading to Loch Rian. The best room, the Lighthouse Suite, is located in a pavilion perched nearby on the rocks. From here you can admire the sea through the glass walls, and at night you can try to make out the distant lights on the Irish shores. The lighthouse owner runs the hotel himself, and staying here is like being the guest of the keeper.

Spitbank Fort
England
Image removed from public review package. Local review only · not public no-info · Spitbank_Fort.jpg
Located near Portsmouth, Spitbank is the smallest of three military forts designed to protect the Solent, the strait separating the Isle of Wight from England. Built in the mid-19th century, it was in full use for more than a hundred years, and only in the 80s of the 20th century was Spitbank turned into a museum. And in the two-story lighthouse they opened a small guest house for only four guests. There is an observation deck with a 360-degree view of the strait, where you can sunbathe, read and enjoy solitude. There is no restaurant at the lighthouse, but in the minibar you can always find a drink suitable for the occasion.

Harlingen
Netherlands
Image removed from public review package. Local review only · not public no-info · Harlingen.jpg
The lighthouse in Harlingen is an architectural monument. The Art Deco building, which served faithfully until the very end of the 20th century, has now been carefully restored and equipped with all imaginable amenities. Now, like in a hotel, two guests can stay here. There is a bathroom on the ground floor and a suite with panoramic views of the harbor and the West Frisian Islands on the second floor. And on the third floor, which is elevated 24 meters above the level of the raging North Sea below, there is a living room illuminated by an Old Testament copper lamp especially for enjoying the views, heights and romance. Breakfast is delivered to the lighthouse every morning.

About Semaforo
Northern Spain
Image removed from public review package. Local review only · not public no-info · Semaforo.jpg
The splash of waves, the sound of a siren, the cries of seagulls... And the Atlantic Ocean stretching to the horizon. All this is on the very edge of Europe. The Galician peninsula in the corner of the Pyrenees is called Fisterra, “end of the earth”. Half a century ago, Spanish authorities established an observation post here to monitor the legendary Costa da Morte, a coastline where ships are too often wrecked. And now, on the edge of the earth, a small hotel O Semaforo has been opened. It is laconic in a maritime way, does not distract the guest from immersing himself in himself and allows him to enjoy the harsh and beautiful landscape of coastal Galicia.

East Brother Lighthouse
USA, West Coast USA
Image removed from public review package. Local review only · not public no-info · East_Brother.jpg
On an island in the strait that separates San Francisco Bay from San Pablo Bay, a powerful signal station was built back in the 19th century. And now there is a nice hotel here. Four rooms are located in the lighthouse itself, the fifth is in the building where the fog siren was located. You can only get here by boat. Life at this hotel is nothing like the harsh everyday life of lighthouse keepers: upon arrival, guests are served champagne and appetizers, in the evening they are treated to a gastronomic dinner with the best California wines, and in the morning they are treated to a gourmet breakfast. Excursions around Eastern Brother Island and a story about the rich history of the lighthouse are included in the program. And from the observation deck you can see a rather rare panorama of the city of San Francisco.

Le Phare de Kerbel
France, Brittany
Image removed from public review package. Local review only · not public no-info · Le_Phare_de_Kerbel.jpg
The picturesque Breton coast of Quiberon, the port of Saint-Louis and the nearby island of Groix can be viewed from above, from the panoramic windows of your room in the ancient Kerbel lighthouse. There are all conditions for romantic accommodation for two. But it’s more fun to stay in the caretaker’s house - it is designed for 6 people who use a living room with a veranda, a kitchen and two bedrooms. And nearby there is a swimming pool and even a small private garden. The solitude at the lighthouse is worth interrupting only to visit the gastronomic restaurants with seafood cuisine for which these places are famous.

Punta Delgada
Argentina
Image removed from public review package. Local review only · not public no-info · Punta_Delgada.jpg
The Valdez Peninsula is one of the most protected places in South America, where gaucho shepherds still graze cattle, elephant seals and penguins live their wild, free lives on deserted beaches, and dolphins and whales frolic in the waters off the coast. These shores are quite dangerous for ships due to sandbanks, which are treacherously hidden by the tide. The lighthouse on Punta Delgada has been guiding ships on the right path since 1905. And nearby, in a building that once housed a post office and a casino, there is a nice eco-friendly hotel. There are 27 rooms, a restaurant where you can taste excellent asado, and a pub where in the evenings guests exchange impressions of walks in this secluded corner of Patagonia.

| Image removed from public review package. Local review only · not public no-info · Punta_Delgada.jpg
