On August 13-14, 2016, essentially the first Lighthouse Festival was held in Petropavlovka. It took place as part of the III St. Petersburg International Maritime Festival. Our pavilion "World of Lighthouses", where the Lighthouse Festival took place for two whole days, welcomed guests of all ages interested in lighthouses, lighthouse lovers, farologists, hydrographers and so on. Our project brought from Moscow almost the entire exposition that was exhibited in Arkhangelsk last year as part of the exhibition “Lighthouses of the Russian North” and of course 3 dioramas “The Battle for Suho Island”, “Tolbukhin” and “Zhuzmuysky”.
Chronicle of the festivalI see in our groups Lighthouse Lovers Club on Facebook and VKontakte + o report album in English in Facebook
Showcase of the Foundation "Russian Lighthouse Society" project "Lighthouse. Lighthouses of Russia and the world"
The display case contains models of lighthouses on Lake Onega (Vasilisin, Besov Nos), Lake Ladoga (Svirsky, Storozhensky, Osinovetsky), Balltica and the Gulf of Finland (Tolbukhin, Baltic). Accurate beacon models with precise light code. The Demon Nose Lighthouse does not shine because it does not work in real life. The Vasilisin lighthouse is also not shining, because... was destroyed by a ground fire on the island
A wonderful gift to the World of Lighthouses and all viewers - burning lighthouses - Rostral columns
Two festival days flew by unnoticed. I gave a short lecture on the topic “Lighthouse of the 21st century”, who did not have time to watch it later on YouTube. Overall it was great!!!
Thanks to everyone who organized and created this with us, helped and came to visit us at the lighthouse, and to Nastya Makarova for the weather. As she said on the last day, “I’m in a good mood, so it won’t rain,” and so it happened, in spite of all the forecasts of rain for the whole Sunday, nature endured until the very closing of the World of Lighthouses, and only when the lights of all the lighthouse models went out and we left did nature release all its strength, which it had held for the day at the finale of the festival. Hooray!!!!!

More about the Mayachniy Festival
