The international maritime festival dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory, "RUSSIA MARINE" started on March 5, 2015 in Moscow in the Gallery of Classical Photography. Festival visitors were able to take a new look at the diverse world of our country, a great maritime power. Then the festival moves around the country and ports of call for Russian training sailing ships and Navy ships.

The purpose of the festival is to consolidate the forces and aspirations of Russian society in strengthening the authority of the country as a leading maritime power, studying and popularizing national maritime geography, maritime specialties and creative activities of citizens.

From September 8 to October 18, 2015 photo exhibition-festival takes place in the Arkhangelsk Museum of Local Lore on the territory of the historical and architectural complex "Arkhangelsk Gostiny Dvors".

The grand opening took place on September 8th.

"Maritime Russia" fits harmoniously into the museum's exhibitions:

  • Arkhangelsk is the first gate of the Russian state;
  • Sails of Pomerania;
  • Lost Expeditions (Sedov, Rusanov, Brusilov);
  • Lighthouses of the Russian North.

The organizer of the exhibition is the interregional public organization of photo artists “Sea Art Club”. Exhibition participants are members of the Marine Art Club - famous marine photographers, travelers, journalists, modellers, yachtsmen and sailors.

Yaroslav Amelin, Sergei Bogdanov, Anatoly Vasiliev, Alexander Vainstein, Vadim Gippenreiter, Yuri Maslyaev, Oleg Patrin, Alexander Ruf, Ida Ruchina and Sergei Shestakov took part in the photo exhibition.
