Automated in February 1994; re-engineered with dual LED lanterns in 2016 (historical revolving optic removed to the University of Gibraltar). Formal public visitor opening ceremony held 17 September 2026 in partnership with the Gibraltar Heritage Trust, with ticketed tours and a fuller schedule from October 2026.
